Don’t you love lavender? I always have …… right from as early as I can remember. As a young child (way, way back!!!) I was told that lavender was an older person’s fragrance – but I loved it anyway! And after seeing the incredible purple fields in Provence many times now, and growing it in our own garden, I love lavender even more.
My love of lavender has led me to make to many different batches of lavender soap – including a batch that fits right in with my recent “plain and simple” soap groove.
This palm-free soap is enriched with Ghanaian shea butter, and it’s made even more special with the addition of some kaolin (mine is a French Argiletz clay) and the Provençal lavender flower topping. It’s scented with French lavender essential oil, and smells heavenly. But then I’m biased …… it’s lavender!
Here are a few more (possibly boring?) photos:
Thanks for looking – and happy soaping!
